Is Adipose Derived Stem Cell (ADSC's) Covered by DVA?

Latest Developments

Many Adipose Derived Stem Cell (ADSC) devices are already TGA-compliant and performed by AHPRA-registered doctors. We are in advanced engagement with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) to have this treatment included under funded pathways.

How Funding Works

Under DVA rules, treatments not listed on the RMFS (Repatriation Medical Fee Schedule) may still be approved through a Prior Financial Authorisation (PFA). This is typically for:
● Innovative but evidence-supported therapies
● Treatments with peer-reviewed safety & efficacy
● Doctor-led submission on your behalf

What This Means for You

This isn’t just about funding a treatment — it’s about giving veterans a safe, natural, and effective alternative to surgery and long waitlists.

“We’re working with DVA to make ADSC’s accessible for all veterans. Your voice helps push this forward.”

— Don Baker, Co-Founder, Veteran Stem

What You Can Do

1. Speak to a Veteran Stem doctor
2. Assess your eligibility
3. Request a DVA PFA submission if appropriate
